Hampstead Teas's Biochai biodynamic tea is spiced with exotic organic spices from the East. Based on a traditional Indian recipe, where chai is drunk throughout the day as a creamy cafe latte type drink. Biochai is a rich, fragrant, intense tea that will revive you. The biodynamic tea comes from Makaibari, the first biodynamic tea estate in the world, situated at 3-4000 ft. high up in the Himalayas. The estate is protected on all sides by lush virgin forests and is home and livlihood to a community of 1700 people, a family of panthers, and a richly diverse wildlife.

Enjoy. Our teas are bright,clear,reflective infusions. Allow one sachet or level teaspoon of tea per person and pour on freshly boiled water. Infuse for up to 3 minutes. Add a splash of milk, or enjoy the distinctive flavour on its own.
Biodynamic farming is a very special holistic form of organic farming, founded in the 1920's,and practised worldwide. It is often described as "organic plus" as each farm is unique and self-sustaining, in balance with soil, plant, animal and cosmic processes. Biodynamic farmers use specially formulated energising herbal compost preparations and a lunar calender to help them determine when to sow and harvest.
The Fairtrade mark guarantees international standards for fair and socially responsible trade with producers in developing countries. The price we pay to our tea estates includes a premium which is used by the community for social, economic, educational and medical improvements.
Suggested Use :
Enjoy. Infuse one sachet per person in freshly boiled water for up to 3 minutes. Add a generous amount of milk and sugar to taste.
