Why Noni?
Noni is a small evergreen tree that grows best on volcanic grounds near the coastline. Noni, the common name for Morinda Citrifolia, is a plant typically found in the Tahitian, Polynesian, and Hawaiian islands.
Upon this tree, flowers develop in small, globule, fused “heads” to form an inflorescence. The “head” bearing the flower increases slowly in size during the blooming period and more rapidly when flowering has been completed. Before the last flower has bloomed, small pale yellowish-green fruits, containing many small seeds appear. The mature fruit is edible but not very palatable. The Noni fruit is taken from the plant and normally consumed as a juice.
